A Joined-Up Strategy for Long-Term Change
To improve life chances for every child in Bradford, we need more than individual projects – we need a long-term strategy that brings the whole system together. EALC’s strategy is designed to do exactly that.
We take a joined-up approach across education, health, care, research and community sectors. Our work is evidence-led, place-based and rooted in collaboration – ensuring that change is both meaningful and sustainable.
Our Approach
Our strategy focuses on three priorities for 2026–2029:
- Schools – leading system-wide improvement in inclusion and SEND, rolling out the Electronic Development Support Passport, and supporting evidence-informed practice across Bradford schools
- Systems – expanding School Health Hubs as a shared health-education model and strengthening multi-agency training and workforce development
- Place – growing Act Locally partnerships to 3–5 areas, embedding community voice in decision-making and connecting neighbourhood insight with system-level strategy
Our 3-Year Strategic Plan
(2026 – 2029)
Confirmed by our Trustees and Partnership Board in March 2026, our Strategic Plan sets out how EALC will deepen its role as the backbone organisation for cross-sector collaboration in Bradford – connecting schools, health services, children’s social care, and the voluntary sector to create measurable improvements for children and young people.
Built on a Legacy of Impact
EALC was established in 2022 to carry forward the success of the Bradford Opportunity Area – a five-year, £16 million programme that delivered measurable improvements in school leadership, community engagement and social mobility.
