A partnership for children in Bradford

Welcome to Education Alliance for Life Chances

Schools, health services, the police, the Local Authority, voluntary services, universities, faith leaders and business, working together to tackle childhood inequality in and improve social mobility for all in Bradford

Our areas of work

Everything EALC does sits within one of three programmes. Each has its own team, partners and way of working with schools and families

Community-rooted partnerships in Bradford’s neighbourhoods, bringing schools, health services and voluntary groups together around local priorities.

Bringing NHS professionals directly into schools, so children and families can access healthcare in a place they trust.

The EDSP is a free, teacher-led tool helping schools spot children’s developmental needs early and connect them with the right support.

Who we are

EALC is a Bradford charity built on a simple idea: no single organisation can change a child’s life chances alone. We bring headteachers, NHS teams, police, council officers, universities, faith leaders, businesses and voluntary groups around the same table, then turn that shared commitment into practical programmes in schools and neighbourhoods across the district.

3-Year Strategic Plan · 2026–2029

Our vision for change

Our next three years focus on early help, healthier schools and stronger local partnerships, with clear measures of progress for children in Bradford. The plan sets out what we will deliver, who we will deliver it with, and how we will hold ourselves to account.
